The following investors are large investment firms that profess the so-called "value investing". Some of them are associated with Warren Buffett and the shool of value investing established by Benjamin Graham. Some do have unqiue approaches, but most are buy and hold investors. Holding period usually spans several years.

When you see several value investors gather in one business or sector, there must be an indicated moat there. I say "indicated" because it is your homework to convince yourself that there is indeed a moat that is worth your money.

RUANE CUNNIFF & CO INC	This firm operates Sequioa Fund. The star behind it was Bill Ruane and now Bob Goldfarb. Since you can not buy Sequioa Fund, it is not a bad idea to buy some of its holdings.
DAVIS SELECTED ADVISERS	This firm operates several funds based on value discipline.
SOUTHEASTERN ASSET MANAGEMENT INC/TN/	This firm operates LongLeaf Fund, but it only has limited window when it is open to new investors.
PACIFIC FINANCIAL RESEARCH INC	This firm was formerly known as Clipper Fund. One of Warren's buddy.
DODGE & COX	This firms is a mutual fund manager. It claims to invest based on value discipline.
